Sometimes it's hard to believe it's been two years since my son came home....but then again it's hard to imagine he wasn't always here. We started our journey in October 2005, a few months prior to my son's actual birth...funny how things work. The wait was not fun - not knowing what was going on was the worst. But thanks to Andrea at WACAP, we made it through and all that seems so far behind us now. Jesse is nearly 3.5 years old (he came home in June 2007 at 15 months old) and is the family clown. The love and care he received at the TRC (Thai Red Cross) prior to coming home created the perfect foundation for him to grow and flourish in his forever family. He's smart, happy, funny, athletic, and loving.

Not a day goes by that I don't look at him and thank the stars that he was brought into our family. I thank his birthmother for her strength, the TRC for their love and support, and WACAP for their patience with me during our wait! :)

If you're reading this and are "in the wait" - know that there is an end - and there is so much joy there! If you are deciding - know that Thailand is a hard program with long waits, but the care your child is in before you take over is beyond words. If you are a parent - I hope you share the same joys and experiences we have in completing our family.
