WACAP volunteers help us brighten the futures of orphaned and vulnerable children around the world! You can help WACAP bring children home to permanent families who will love them - and also help us provide food, clothing, medical care, and educational supplies to vulnerable children around the world. At WACAP, we view our volunteer program as a vital resource in our mission to serve the needs of children in Bulgaria, China, Ethiopia, India, Korea, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States. WACAP is seeking volunteers who can help out once a week or once a month in our downtown Renton office located at 315 South 2nd St.
We are currently looking for people who can provide help in the following areas (click to view complete job description):
WACAP also offers some opportunities for volunteering remotely if you don’t live in the Seattle area. However, we are not currently seeking volunteers to work overseas.
First, fill out a volunteer application. You will then interview with WACAP's Manager of Volunteers and Events, Lisa Yeager, by phone or in person. During the interview, you can tell us why you want to volunteer and how you would like to use your gifts and abilities to further WACAP's mission. Please note: WACAP requires a brief background check and reference checks prior to your start date, as you may be dealing with confidential information. Finally, WACAP will provide an orientation and job specific training to get you started in supporting WACAP's mission of finding a family for every child! Please contact Lisa Yeager for additional details.
